We are looking for a part time UI/UX Designer to join our team to assist with the design process for our web-projects.

Black Peak is a leading agency for Webflow and Wized based web design and development projects. As a designer on our team you will work primarily in Figma to create designs for both components within existing/collaborative projects, and full web design projects from conceptualization to hand-off. Initially this will largely be assisting our Lead Designer and Development team with ongoing projects requiring additional components and smaller scale projects, with future opportunities to take the lead on projects from the concept phase onwards.

This role will require daily communication within our team via Slack, Meet, and Loom videos. This role will also occasionally require communication with clients via the same channels, so ability to clearly communicate and provide solutions oriented discussion is needed. We require English fluency for this reason.

Requirements:

• Solid Figma skills including organized files, understanding of auto-layout, and use of components/basic prototyping
• Attention to detail (cohesive and perfect spacing, design language, typeface and colour consistency, design hierarchies)
• Creative thinking and genuine appreciation for excellent and interesting design
• Ability to design specifically for client needs, rather than just what you think looks best, willingness to take onboard client and inter-team feedback (while also standing up for design choices respectfully)
• Ability to manage time, stay on task, and execute projects within set timelines (utilizing Slack and Asana) without constant oversight
• English fluency for inter-team and client communication
• You must have work samples/portfolio/website that demonstrates your abilities

• Understanding/experience with Ui/Ux design and thinking in terms of user behavior a bonus
• Understanding/experience with Webflow a bonus
• Experience with branding and logo design a bonus
• Our team is fully remote but mainly operating in the PST and EST time zones of North America, candidates in that hemisphere preferred
